1000 Euro collected for Maxim Gavrilenko at the Christmas Marathon 2016

The most grandiose event which took place at the eve of the New Year’s holidays – the Christmas Marathon – has gathered more than 1000 people in the Square of the Great National Assembly who took part in the race not only for a great dose of fun, but also for supporting Maxim Gavrilenko.

The Christmas Marathon 2016, which took place in Chisinau on the 18th of December, had a charitable purpose this year. The participants runed 3 km on the Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard, gathered on their way gifts from the sponsors, and made a significant contribution in the treatment of Maksim Gavrilenko. Maxim is an 11-year-old boy, who accidentally drank a chemical liquid at the age of 5, which caused severe burns to the internal organs. During six years he is fighting for his life together with his relatives.

On the day of the festive carnival race the participants of the Christmas Marathon came to help Maxim. All of the funds that have been collected from the registration fees and also the donations of the empathic people were consolidated – the collected amount is equal to 15,150 lei. The Simpals company added 6000 lei to the amount.

We remind you that the surgery, which will save Maxim costs 30 000 euros, and it is carried out only in Turkey.

Simpals team will continue the collecting of funds for Maxim Gavrolenko’s family.
