For two weeks Moldnet has been discussing an upcoming event which is so long awaited — Startup Weekend is coming to Moldova! Event will take place on 11-13 of November.

For those who do not know: Startup Weekend is an international project, which has been run for four years in most countries of the world. This event represents a 54-hours session, which brings together people with different skills and backgrounds — software developers, designers and business people to create promising online projects.

Each participant of the Startup Weekend Moldova will be able to test his idea, find new friends, get the mentos’ expertise and will have the chance to attract investment for the project’s further development. This event gives a unique opportunity to gain and exchange experience in launching online businesses.

Startup Incubator «Simpals Garage» comes as an organizational partner at this event.
During the week-end, «Simpals Garage» representatives will get acquainted with each of the teams and their projects, some mentors of the incubator will be there trying to help teams providing guidance and sharing experince. The teams that will attract the most the attention of «Simpals Garage» representatives, will be offered the chance to become residents of the incubator.

Note: the winning team, that will present the best project at the Startup Weekend Moldova will have the possibility to participate in the Global Startup Battle (international startup competition), an event where will be present teams from the U.S., India, China, Mexico, Great Britain, France, Norway, New Zealand, Mongolia, Iceland, Nigeria, Cambdogia, Russia and Romania.
