Always smiling and with a clear, distinct voice, Dima Mironenco joined Simpals in 2016 as an Event Manager for the Sporter project.
— Do you remember how it all started?
— Yes, I came at the invitation of a friend — Alexandru Mechin. During my trial period, I was running in the park with Dmitri Voloshin — they were testing how “sporty” I was. Then, I had an interview with Roman Știrbu, where I said I was good at Romanian. But during the interview, I realized that “there’s room for improvement.”
After four years at Sporter, when the pandemic started, Dima moved to the Lobster project, and a year later, he decided to leave Simpals.
— How long were you away?
— Exactly four months. The changes brought by the pandemic made me want to take a break. Then I joined the Studii.md project. But since it was summer, there wasn’t much to do, so I moved to 999.
Since 2022, Dima Mironenco has worked as a Product Manager at 999, focusing primarily on the 999.md mobile app.
— What was the 999.md app like when you joined the department?
— Old! It was extremely slow. On Android, it still worked somehow, but the iOS version had even more issues. We decided to develop a new app, and we made it happen!
— Is the new app fully optimized? Can we call it perfect?
— Of course not. We are constantly working to improve the app. Some users contact me directly on Telegram when they face an issue. We are always open to feedback and try to solve problems as quickly as possible.
To become part of the Simpals team, you need to have a sense of humor, be stress-resistant, open to constructive criticism, and be able to improvise. This is what Dima Mironenco says—a person who went from “I knew nothing about app management when I joined Simpals” to “in six months as a Product Manager at 999, we made the 999.md app twice as fast.”
