Our compatriots have made many bright discoveries, but they are hardly known in Moldova. To remedy this situation, we are launching a series of publications about outstanding inventors and discoverers with Moldovan roots.
Simpals’ mission is to open new worlds, inspiring by example. Making a difference in the world is important to us, but it’s even more important to help people do it together. We believe that we are pioneers. We like to think the world is still full of mysteries, so every day we embark on a journey. We are driven by a simple and almost childlike genuine curiosity, “What if…?” It opens doors to new worlds full of possibilities, and with it inspires thousands of other people to embark on their own expeditions. Because nothing is impossible!
Our company has already invented and given to the world a number of innovative devices that have made it possible for people to conquer the depths, expand the boundaries of the possible and hear underwater – and this is just the beginning! We consider ourselves heirs of great inventors and we want all Moldovans to know them and be proud of them. One of Simpals’ values is growth, and we launch this educational project to show that there are no limits to growth, only internal limitations and fears. Let the stories of inventors with Moldovan roots give you strength and help you do something really important.
It may seem unbelievable, but Neil Armstrong was prepared for the moon landing by Balti-born Robert Frimtzis. And if mankind ever has to decipher alien messages, it may well turn to the work of the father of American cryptology, William Friedman, a native of Chisinau.
When unlocking the steering wheel, remember that the steering wheel lock was invented by Orhei native Abram Neiman. And the first controllable quadcopter was invented by Gheorghe Botezatu, an aeronautical designer descended from a noble Bessarabian family.
Alexandru Laurent from Chisinau invented foam for firefighting, created a foam fire extinguisher and helped save many lives. No fewer people have been saved by the invention of Nikolai Zelinski from Tiraspol – the world’s first effective gas mask. There have been several inventions, and we will tell you about them all.
Moldova is the home of talented and hard-working people, and the achievements of many of our compatriots are of global importance. Follow the publications of the “100 inventors from Moldova” project and you will see that we have someone to admire.
The “100 Inventors of Moldova” educational project is created by the Simpals innovation company and the author of the “Golden Book of Bessarabia and Moldova” series, Denis Rosca. Every Thursday we will highlight the achievements of our compatriots who have become outstanding inventors and pioneers.
