What does a Learning & Development Manager do?

A Learning & Development Manager is more than just a training specialist. He or she implements learning solutions and turns professional development into a huge asset for both the team and the company. It’s about helping employees grow while the company grows.

The Learning & Development Manager position is rather rare in the Republic of Moldova, and Natalia Eni accepted this challenge two years ago when she joined Simpals. “I came to Simpals full of enthusiasm eager to contribute to the development of the staff in the company,” says Natalia.

Challenges and achievements

One of the biggest challenges for Natalia was adapting quickly to changes in the company. This is where she learned to be more flexible and to promptly make decisions. Notable achievements include:

  • Creating and implementing effective training programs.
  • Constantly working with managers to make learning an accessible and effective process for teams.
  • Organizing the PDP Club, where employees have the opportunity to share expertise, courses completed and books read with other colleagues in the company.

Plans for the future

“The company has moved a long way towards digitalization, and in 2025 we will take an important step: develop our own LMS platform, branded Simpals,” Natalia shares.

She aims to create an intuitive and interactive learning platform. It will integrate advanced analytics designed to measure the impact of training programs on organizational performance. This will allow the company to adjust team development strategies based on actual data.

“Last but not least, I want to contribute to strengthening a corporate culture where learning is a superpower for every employee”, Natalia concludes.
